Default Is this common?

I have an enigma of a car, and am still digging into what the deal is. Is it common to run aftermarket double springs and retainers with stock rocker arms? Or is there a possability these could be SLP arms? How do you tell the difference ?

It's common with a cam upgrade. What are the specs of the motor?

Everything else on the car was SLP stuff, DD SFC's, TQ arm, Headers, Y pipe, Lid. So I could make a valid argument that those could be SLP rocker arms.

They're stock rocker arms.

I'm guessing the only way to know from looking at them from the top is to pull them off and look at the casting # on the bottom.

I've looked all over and it doesn't look like its real easy to see the differences between the SLP and stock arms since they are made by the same company.

The other item that is puzzling is that there are no casting numbers on the heads anywhere. The casting numbers have been machined off from the outside and ground off from the inside, what is the purpose of that?

This is just a guess from reading your other post, but you said it was a theft recovery? Maybe whoever stole it wasn't the brightest ind. and thought they were serial numbers and ground them off?

BTW, I hate you for that find lol

I'd agree with that, either way the power it makes is just great over 400whp through an auto and a restrictive stock TB and LS6 intake.

ya those look to be stock rockers to me. the dual springs are common with a cam. judging by your other thread the car sounds like its a cammed 6.0 with some type of worked heads. usually the porter leaves a mark somewhere though so look around

SLP rockers use an allen head bolt.
