It's necessary on all LSx motors to reduce/prevent oil consumption. My LS3 has the newest style PCV and with 800 miles on the OD there was oil in the line and front of the intake.

Slight revival, does my 2000 need the 01 and newer crossover tubes or is there a way to modify my stock ones?

What crossover tubes are you talking about, coolant lines?

I have a 2000 and the only tubing that I got was the one that was on the first page.

Bringing back the old thread, would an LSX bow ties block require cutting for the LS6 PCV system?

You only need the 01+ crossover tubes if you are using an LS6 or FAST intake. However, some people have had success slightly smashing down the 98-00 tubes.

No you don't need to cut the block.

I've seen more cracked FAST intakes with people trying to smash down the coolant tubes. Don't cheap out. Get the LS6 tube and block offs.

So I just dropped my motor back into the car without the FAST on it, but I did the grinding and installed the LS6 PCV.

Are the 02 LS1 coolant fittings no good? I haven't tried to test fit yet. But I don't recall there being any sort of crossover coolant port when I uninstalled the LS6 intake. Were the crossovers LS1 only or am I just not remembering what I did when I tore the motor down? If so, I will just go with Kurt Urbans steam port setup which is much much cleaner.

Edit: nevermind. I went out and looked in my parts bin. The LS6 had a rear crossover pipe. I still might do the Kurt Urban setup tho...
