I think Cartek's Stage 2X rev.2 LS6 head is the best right now. They are making 470+rwhp with just a 224/228 cam (and going through 4.10s). I think anyone can throw in a huge cam and make big peak numbers. It's not exactly rocket science. I'll take my high HP with a side of area under curve please <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

me too, I want a lot of area under the curve since the car is primarily gonna be on the street, with occasional strip duty.

I bought a set of LS1 MTI S2 heads 2.055/1.60 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

They are pricey, but good, I have TEA's now, so far so good....GTP's are good as well... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

jeff, absolutely you are allowed to do your homework, you would be foolish not to, and i apologize for my sarcasm, just a little dis-appointed when people tell you they will come look at something and they don't...thats all. I did e mail you , speaking of such i sent you block casting # today...12561168 which indeed goes along with 243 heads...heads very easy to re assemble, i just have tio get my seals...just didnt want to do that because a lot of people might run more spring with more cam..didn't want to do un necessary work...maybe i will still use them myself, found out if i just stick with ls6 405hp cam, my ecm will stioll be happy....

BIGBOS has a supercharger on his car (ATI I think) and the MTI gave him too much compression. He bought the TEA's to lower it. You can read about it in the forced induction section.

Dave I apologize for my immature response, I tend to react emotionally when challenged. As you know it was raining cats and dogs here Sunday and I didn't want to take a ride out in the pouring rain. I should have told you that.

I still want to look at your stuff.

Just to add another opinion, I am really happy with my AAP 5.3L heads.

With a 222/224 cam I made 410rwhp/415rwtq through an unlocked Y3000, Mac headers and CarSound cats (open cutout). The heads are quite a piece of work. I've got some pics here of the heads and cam install :

Happy driving,

Let me throw in my .02, I like GTP myself - they are absolutely top notch and craig is fairly **** hot although he seldom returns my emails. I've got his Stage II's on my LT1 and aside from being some the prettiest heads I've ever seen - they flowed around 280cfm @ 550. He knows how to make power.

I agree, <img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> Jeff Ott aka "LS1derfull" is doing things in his home garage, with LS1 and LS6 cylinder heads, on his flowbench, that would make the late great <img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> Lee Shepard proud! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Jeff in his 35 years, has rubbed shoulders with some pretty smart, and innovative people in his many years of racing! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Not many can say this let alone show it! <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />
