Default Valve spring question

A friend of mine is running the B1 camshaft .221/.221 .558/.558 114 LSA. we were running the 918 valve springs but it seems under a 100 shot of spray the spring didnt allow the valve come back up fast enough and kissed 2 pistons. anyway we are now doing manley Race-flo valves, heads are ported to 235cc, comp "R" lifters, and pro magnum rockers, still going to run the 7.400 trick flo rods...... i need a recommendation on valvesprings someone said the 941 springs would be a good choice. i look in summit and it says they are dual springs. i look on comps pages and it says single spring..... now im confused. also if the 941's are the same installed height as the stock springs or the 918's?

can anyone recommend a spring that will work well with this cam and the spray combo? also maybe supply a part number with that for ti-retainers?

Are you running 235cc on the street or just track?
If your street how does it run? I'm curious because i'm saving for AFR 205's.
AFR told me that going to large on intake would hurt velocity and I'm runninga TR224@ .563/.563 on a 112lsa. Also, how high are you spinning? Seems that 918's should handle ur cam with no problem.

Rangersix, its my car that he is asking the question for. unfortunately we have not had the chance to run the car with the head porting done yet. since we havent figured out what valve springs to go with. Now we are thinking the 921 valve springs which i believe are the right install height and have the proper coil bind for our application......rev limiter is set to stock and i shift at the track at 5800 rpm.

Thanks to Nomoqazar who figured out that the 941 springs would be the wrong way to go as they do not have the proper install height (921 has a 1.800, and 941 has a 1.65 i think) and has little coil bind. it would have grenaded the motor.

as far as plans for the car we still a little more to do before she comes back out yet. but as far as i know its not the size of the head porting or how much velocity that effects driveability......it's tuning.

Stock diameter patriot "GOLD" duals. You can get a kit with everything you need including Ti retainers, springs, seals, and seats for under $300. No machine work required.
