Switch heads/ Switch pushrods???
I sent this message to TSP, but if anyone can help: AFR 225 to PRC 247.....
We got the heads on the car and now we have another problem. When I had the AFR's, we had them at 68cc w/ the .040 gaskets and 7.4 pushrods. Now with the PRC's, they are the same 68cc w/ .040 gaskets, but when we put in the 7.4 pushrods, they are way to shortWe have a pushrod checker and now it looks like we came up with 7.45 not including preload. This is being used with stock rockers. Does that sound right???? Just want to make sure. Seems a little off to go from 7.4 to pretty much a 7.5......

Deck heights, valve stem lengths, etc. may be different between the two heads and will result in different pushrod requirements. I don't see an issue if you are confident in your measurements. I am running AFR 205's with shimmed YT rockers to obtain the correct wipe and my pushrods are 7.475" using Morel lifters. There are too many variables to assume the pushrod length won't change.
