Stock Cam Question

Hey guys im new to this site. I have a 04 5.3 Im did a swap in my 98 c1500. I am thinking about installing a stock ls1 cam. What year is the best 98-00? also how do I identify one if it is sitting around? Thanks

if I was going thru the effort to do it, something a little hotter at least..like an LS6 cam and springs. I am guessing you still have stock manifolds and cats, correct?

Yep stock manifold but no Cats. I have a couple stockers laying around so was thinking about just stabbing one in but didnt know how to identify them.
