I'm running roughly the same combo....slightly bigger cam but a FAST 92. I gained 120rwhp on the same dyno after everything was done. This is through 1 7/8" headers and TD's though. Those 1 3/4" may hold you back a bit.

Ported LS6 heads are proven to work well. No way I would spend another 1k on aftermarket castings unless you can find them used from a reliable seller.

The TFS 220 as cast are the same price as the TSP 2.5 LS6 heads and the TSP as cast 225cc's are the same price as the 2.5 LS6 heads. Whats cool about the TFS is later on if you decide to build a bigger cube motor TEA can run the 235cc CNC program on it.

Tick just hit 506/443 (Stock LS2, mind you) with the PRC 225's as-cast with their Polluter V.2. Fast 92 and stock unported 90mm TB.

What impressed me was it was with a power robbing GTO...

I'm thinking about selling my QTP 1 3/4 LTs for a brand new set of stainless 1 7/8... I just don't know if I can part with a quality piece which isn't made now of days.

I really like my QTP headers, is this sacrifice worth the power gains?? I heard 1 3/4 is for low end TQ power, will I have more low end TQ power in a H/C/I setup running 1 7/8???

I would have gotten those at the time if I could. I wanted everything from one vendor as a package and TSP didn't offer them yet.

I'd keep the QTP. They are a quality header. You aren't losing a ton of power vs ARH or Kooks because of the HVMC. But because ARH and Kooks both have HVMC, you're still loosing a little bit. IMO, not worth the swap for 5-10HP.

Not saying this is the norm but I had a 20 rwhp 15 rwtq increase from swaping to 1 7/8" headers. Both sets were Kooks and on the same dyno. I was also only out $200 after selling my old set. I did have a ported FAST and TD's already on the car. Notice I didn't lose anything down low.

Also, QTP and Kooks were made off the same jig.

The old Kooks didn't have the HVMC tho, right? That's 5-10HP right there, and then the larger header is another 5-10. So that seems about right.

Really? I thought they switched over later than that. Oh well. There you go. Buy the **** out of some Kooks 1-7/8" headers then lol

So what do you think my QTP 1 3/4 headers, which aren't made anymore worth? I got a hell of a deal on the package... gaskets, 3in exhaust clamps, O2 sensors, MSD 8.5 wires, NGK plugs, bolts, the whole 9...

I had a guy 2 weeks ago wanting them... if someone desires them that bad and are brand new in original box, papers/reciept and stickers (you know... for that extra 5hp)!!

Like I said....they are a Kooks header in a different box. I sold my Kooks for $600 shipped with new manifold gaskets and bolts that I didn't need.

True Duals or Catback? Is there anyone running 450+rwhp in anything else but a TD setup? I'm looking for loud, but not blow the perm rollers out of your 85yr old neighbors hair loud! I'd LOVE nothing else better to have an all drag only car. But lets not get off track and remember this is my wake up early and go to a military base DD. Looking to turn cops heads are part of the gamble, but don't need a ticket every corner I turn. In VA we have visual inspection, don't believe we have Emissions here in Hampton Roads?? Is a 450rwhp H/C/I setup illegal on the street? With true duals and the whole "blow your girlfriends underwear off mods"?

TSP has SSTL headers with 1 7/8" primaries for sale for like 5-600 bucks. I run their coated headers that I believe are the same exact dimensions...another facet of why my build made so much power.

I originally thought about going with TSP's 1 7/8 headers... but it would make no sense IMO to change out my QTP 1 3/4 (which aren't installed yet) for a set of TSP. No offense to TSP, but I just prefer mine. The only way I'd throw a changeup in this build is to go with a set of Kooks 1 7/8 LTs.

When I had bought these QTP 1 3/4 it was a deal not even a fool would pass up. For the headers ($850), gaskets ($20), 02 Oxygen Sensors x2 ($200), bolts ($15), 3" exhaust clamps x5 ($75), MSD 8.5MM Wires ($77), NGK plugs x2 ($50)... total = $1,287 + shipping on all items is equivalent to well over $1300 easy. Ladies and gentleman, I bought the package for $750 + free shipping. Thank god for eBay

I'm running a cam with a 111 LSA so I wouldn't be the best person to ask. Mine is pretty loud...and I have cats.

The HVMC helps a lot on these headers. The 1-7/8" size helps even more.

I'll let you know how loud the TDs are as soon as I get them. Ordered them on Monday. No cats...

Don't use those header gaskets. Reuse the stock metal ones.

Do you know of any problems they would cause? Reusing anything stock I am not a fan of, but if they'll work I'll do it!
