i wonder where the guy was getting his info then lol. well i might try to push my luck a lil and see what happens. i plan on running the motor stock for a bit after further thinking just to get a good feel for the car and the drivetrain then by the time i feel its ready for the cam change i will have the cash set back for it. maybe when i do that i will pull the heads and play with them some to but who knows that will be later down the road.

Your Fox should be about the same weight as my BMW and the Ls1 really brings the car to life even in stock form. I am waiting on my 228R to come in the mail right now, after reading all the great reviews it seemed like the best choice.

I paid $175 shipped for a used 228r that went into my former 2001 Z28. I ran a FIPK induction, pacesetter headers, 243 heads with upgraded valve train and TSP true duals dumped. The car was a M6 and put down 422 rwhp and 408 ftlbs of torque. It was a 112 LSA and I wouldn't have gone with anything else. that care screamed. I recently bought a used 224R on 113LSA for my wife's 2001 Trans Am A4. You are picking a great choice for streetable cam. But it will need a tune. Mine ran pretty rough without it. Kept trying to die at a stop light.

thats some pretty good numbers. i wont have to worry to much on the tuning bc i am running a edelbroke performer intake with a 750 carb. no lap tops for me, just a couple turns of a screwdriver and changing some jets around lol. i am keeping it simple
