Quick cam question/opinion

Hello all,

Looking for a new cam for my LQ9 408. Has smaller 5.7 cam and has trouble breathing above 4000; Low duration and med lift.

In a 03 ZO6, Beefed 6spd. and diff with stock 3.42 ratio.

The engine has 63cc TEA 243 stage 2 heads, approx.10.7 to 1, LT headers, no Cats,
purchasing a newer TB and intake soon, currently with stock TB and intake.

Want something streetable but go to the track once or twice a month in warm, dry weather.

Thinking of these based off of comp lobe#s:

Intake .... ........ ............ . Exhaust
13021 LSL 243/624 13164 LXL 250/615
or
13051 HUC 243/627 13165 LXL 254/615

114 Lobe Sep, 110 centerline

my buddy had a 408 with a trex and i loved it. it would definitely be my choice if i had a 408. good luck with your project, rob

Agreed^ A Trex cam will work very badass with your setup, but didnt Thunder Racing close down? You can also consider the MS3 cam which would also do a legit job. 237/242 .603/.609 112, 113, or 114 LSA
