Mine have the 1.7 stamped right in the center. Not sure what that means.

I have learnt my lesson with aftermarket rockers....OEM & trunion upgrade now. No more bad harmonics in the valve train.

I just purchased a set of these last week because i have AFR heads and I got a set stamped on the left side, so that means they are pre 2007 and prone to breaking from what I have read. How do I get a brand new set of these 6 years later.

You guys blow my mind... Completely.

Ask the best builders you can. Actually pick up the phone and call these people. They will ALL SAY THE SAME THING.

Stock rockers, trunion upgrade, that's it!!

Not very sure about your statement...
I mean some of the best racing engine builders in the industry will not run real high hp LS engines with stock rockers, period.

Everyone I talked to when I built my ms4 powered LS1 told me the same thing! "If you're working on a small budget and don't have the money to buy high quality rockers do the trunnion upgrade on the stock ones!"

That's interesting you say that, considering at least one of the people we're both familiar with will tell you to RUN away from roller rockers (T&D, Jesel aside, of course)

I believe katech runs the stock rockers in many of their race cars/engines as well...

What I said was a bit of a blanket statement.

All builds are different, and every application will require different parts and pieces. I'm not saying you should ALWAYS turn from roller rockers... Just that the majority of people don't need them.

Everything has it's place.

Let's all back up a second. There's still no proof that the latest revision of the YT's are problematic.

Until there is, all of this is just reactionary hearsay.

That being said, roller rockers can't just be slapped on any engine. You need to run the right pressure springs that are shimmed to the correct height, the right valves, stiff pushrods, the works. Unless you've got bronze guides in your heads there's no reason to use them. If you're looking for hp gains out of these things, you'd better look elsewhere. That's not why you should be running them.

I will make the community aware if a breakage happen on my Yella Terra Ultralites generation 3 obviously...

For now, 4000miles, daily driven to 7500rpm (all gears!)...
- silent as day one,
- much better than OEM with trunion upgrade for the idle vacuum and the electronic % of throttle opening blade
- more power from 6700rpm to 7500rpm
- no more rubbing (damaging) on the tip of the valves

let see how long they go being tortured that way.

Thanks for the update on the Gen 3 rockers. Please continue to post back as to how they are holding up.

Yes. I spent quite a bit of time setting them up to center the wipe and get it narrow, curretly at 0.045" width. Then the setup was updated with 3/8" double taper pushrods. The value of the pushrods was evident in the upper RPM on the dyno, much cleaner and it actually picked up 6 hp with the additional valve train stability. The 5/16" pushrods were likely flexing, which will hammer the rockers.

You can go with a custom manton 11/32 pushrod also, and no need to worry about enlarging the holes in the heads for the bigger PRs. I have ran a few sets of them in cars, and it makes a difference. But there was also a thread on here about running a thicker wall 5/16 pr helps also. Someone needs to make a large comparo featuring all that info...

PS, when this happened to Scorpion a few times, people literally stopped buying them...no love for the American company selling American Made products...AND who hired quite a few of the tech guys/reps from Crane when they went out of business a while back. Oh yah and they offer a lifetime wnty on their rockers. No need to wait to contact them. My .02.
