6.0 cam on my ls1

Just for me a rebuilt block with 0 miles. I just need the gaskets and oil pan and I should be good. But am I at an advantage or disadvantage by putting a different cam, from a 6.0ls2 into my ls1

It is like putting a 2001 LS6 cam in.

there are gains in rwhp but they say their not worth the time and money in swap..

If you mean by getting bigger springs for the lift and the tuning then maybe

Since your motor is rebuilt and not installed, why not? Springs any LS6 springs or stock LS2 will do. Tuning? Of course you should tune for best results. Is it worth 20 rwhp? Yes.
Upgrade, don't replace.

Alright! Sounds good. My car has been MIA for about a month and I can wait to try it out with new cam. It's my first ls1 and I'm new to this so any helpful tips are appreciated!
