Default Thinking about going back with stock cam

I built a 5.3 with a comp cam and the valves clatter. I have any where from 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 turns from zero last. I still hear the valves. I am running ls7 lifters and 7.4 pushrods. I am tired of the clatter. Any suggestions? I did the comp trunnions but it didn't help any. I think I am actually hearing the valves as they hit the seats. I had a valve cover off to check for proper oiling when I figured it out. It is a .600 loft cam. Thanks

The first thing people will ask is If you used a pushrod length checker. Have the heads or block been milled?

Heads were slightly. Don't know how much. I used a pushrods checker and it came out to be stock length
