Default Ticking under acceleration

My car will idle without any problems but anything above 25% throttle, a ticking noise is produced and gets quicker as the rpms increase. It's coming from the driver side. I have my guess but would like to see if anyone can confirm it.

This is what I been told to check..............

Loose spark plugs, a bad pulley bearing, vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks. get a screw driver and listen for engine noise like a bad lifter or loose rocker arm..could be piston slap too..
I had a ticking noise and it was the A/C belt one side of it was gone! (strange) also check the PCV valve and the hose for leaks..

hope this helps...
