depends on how light your springs are.

as long as you are not compressing the plunger in the lifter you will be fine with the hyd lifters.

i will say that some of you put way to much thought into this.

I realize I am one for the clueless ones on LS1tech, but I thought you should be checking the wipe pattern once you established zero lash with a PR checker. Adjust the checker until you get a centered pattern.

This is why I either PM a select few people here for a one-on-one PM or just pay someone. Too many people think they know or ALOT of miscommunication

Checking wipe pattern doesn't work well of these type of rockers. It's fine for the roller tipped rocker, but not this "scuff pad" type rocker. Not to mention, the rocker is a "pedestal mount" design, where the pushrod has no effect on the rocker geometry or wipe pattern. A "stud mount", like the SBC rockers basically float on a stud and the pushrod length does effect the wipe pattern.

good info here. I didn't realize you checked pr length different than a gen 1 small block. Guess I did it wrong. That explanes a few things.
