Has anyone ever did a conversion if so could you help me out. I'm thinking about doing this

Try posting in the conversion/hybrid page or searching, this has been covered before. I am not sure on the details on what is involved so I can't answer this with 100% assurance.

I did it on my LQ4. You have to get a DBC computer, and change some of the wiring

call PSI....I switched my DBW to a DBC with them.....they are good guys....bought my wire harness from them too

if you're using a stock intake manifold, you will likely have to install 2 brass threaded inserts to run the cable mounting bracket. see pic below, the red circles indicate the inserts that had to be added.

Couldn't you just have the tuner set it up to have the throttle do exactly as you do with the pedal?

I thought all the delay and such was programmed torque management not actually slow electronics.

If putting a DBW engine in an older vehicle I can see going cable to avoid mounting a new pedal but that is not what it sounds like you are doing.
