Turbo Lq4 forged rods/pistons combo help
Well the 5.3 in my mustang finally **** the bed. Now Im putting together the replacement starting with Lq4 block and low mile Ls2 crank. I'm looking for suggestions as to what rods/ piston combo everyone's using. I'm running stock 317 heads with Ls9 gaskets. I want to stay around 9.5:1 comp. My 5.3 had the 317 heads on it which made it 8.5:1 and I don't wanna go that low again. This is a street car that sees a lot of track time. Had it on 24psi through a s475/83/t6 when it popped. This motor won't be babied either so I'm trying to build it with good stuff the first time.
So Im leaning towards comp star rods, but still up in the air on what piston to run. Who makes a nice forged one that will keep me around 9.5:1? And where's the best cheapest place to get em?
Thanks for any help and suggestions guys

In my experience...
www.ws6store.com
www.coloradospeed.com
are the cheapest.
www.texas-speed.com has the best selection
I'm running wiseco pistons and eagle H-beams. its a popular combo.
