How Is The Trex Cam On The Street

How Is The Trex Cam On The Street Ive got all the bolt ons on my 99 T/A, and am thinking serioulsy about throwing in a TR TREX cam. Does anyone have this cam or know anyone who does, if so i am curious about its street manors. I recently talked to chris at thunder racing and he said i should go with a 4000 stall. Has anyone gotten away with a stall smaller than that or is that asking for trouble. Also I am curious as to the sound of this cam, how aggressive does it actually sound.

you can get away with one smaller but if the characteristics of the powerband are similar to my 231/237 cam youd loose a ton of low end tq compared to before you install the cam and probably only gain it back past 3500-4000rpms meaning thats where you want the motor to already be when you hit the go pedal at the track

Well there are three guys here in Baton Rouge that drive around with the TRex. Unfortunatly there are all 6 speeds. There idle pretty good and are by far the craziest sounding street cars I think. As for a convertor you would be able to get away with a 3800 but you will not get the full benifit unless its at least a 4000.
