Thank you! I'll get some new push rods see how it works out.

Also would doing it the way I did damage anything other than push rods?

Stock p-rods are somewhat designed to bend instead of damaging valves and hurt guides, so most likely just the rods got hurt. It is different with hardened ones.

The way you tightened the rockers didn't cause your problem.

Look at all your pen magnets and make sure all the magnets are still in them.

At this point you need to take a step back. I would do a leak down test and pull the timing cover and verify they are dot to dot. Yes I know you said they are dot to dot but one of the the easiest cam swaps out there turned horrible wrong.

This is not the time to start throwing parts at it. It's time to do some true diag work.

you want both push rods at their lowest point for that cylinder before you bolt on the rocker arms for that cylinder.slowly rotate the engine until both push rods are down and at equal heights for any given cylinder .remember the ls firing order to save time.try to remove the rocker arms the same way ,with the lifter on the base circle of the cam to avoid damaging any rocker bolt threads.

The timing cover is already off. I the front off when I found the bent pushrods. The dots are lined up.

Pull the cam and check the indexing on the lobes.........something's way wrong and I don't think its anything you did.

Which 3 pushrods were bent? Random I assume.

A couple of different things could have happened.

Pushrod missed the lifter cup. It's possible.
Pushrod missed the rocker cup. Also possible.
You left out the rocker stands? It's happened.......

Did any of the bolts feel harder to torque? Did you crank them down fast or slow?
And did you have each cyl on the cam base circle when doing this?

Ron
