Difference betweeen these 2 cams

After seeing the specs of Lou's new cam, the cam that I used to want (224/224) seems puny. Would there be much surging with the 228/228? Will it be a dog until it hits around 3,000 rpms?
This will be on a M6 with all of the boltons.

Don't get caught up with all the big cams now offered. remember when you go big you tradeoff low end, also with lou's cam and I need to verify this you need to flycut the pistons due to p/v clearance.
I like that g5x2 cam too, but I'm afraid it might be too extreme for me, and I dont want to change valve springs every year..
