Default ls1 chirping after heads and cam

just installed ported 799's with prc .675 dvs 7.4 push rods ls7 lifters ls2 trays ls6 ported oil pump new pick up tube o-ring ud pulley and new belts ls2 timing set. first start up was great. oil pressure at idle around 60. next start up oil pressure still around 60 but now it has a chirping noise sounds like pass side head but I removed the oil cap and listened for a vt noise but has no noise down in the head. could the tensioner be making this noise travel? checked my LT's they aren't hitting the k member or anything of that concern. everything was lubed when installed but when you slightly rev it and hold it noise goes away. any ideas? ill try and upload a video

Nice . Sounds and looks great. What cam did you use?

Your squeak or squeal sounds like a bad bearing somewhere along the serpentine belt or belts. also check belt tensioner and charge up the batt so the alternator dos'nt have to work so hard.

My engine made that exact noise in the same spot after I added a PCV valve to my system. I ruled out any mechanical problems and just ran it like that for a couple weeks. The problem eventually stopped altogether. I'd call it a "PCV squeak". Don't know what exactly causes it, but it should go away.

well I ruled out belts pullies or tensioners after taking off belts still made noise. put some chassis ears on valve train, close to oil pump and trans and it wasn't picking up anything. then I realized only thing diff from first and second start up was 1st was just off headers 2nd had the full exhaust hooked up. took y off headers no more noise!!! must have had the ball flanges not quite flush. thanks for all the help guys. its getting tuned next week cant wait!

Might have spoke too soon. Going thru heat cycles last night and just running off headers noise started again but didn't last long and went away. Im gonna run the thing til she blows! If it does big deal just another reason to build something forced induction!!!
