Default aluminum 5.3 question

I have an aluminum 5.3 out of an 06ish trail blazer. My question is, without taking the oil pan off how can I find out if its a 24 or 58 tooth reluctor wheel?

Did they even make a 58 tooth 5.3?

I believe Black Crank Position Sensor is 24 toof.
Gray would be 58 toof.

My 06 L33 has 24 teef.

You could pull the crank sensor and look in the hole. 58 and 24x wheels have a distinct difference. Google some pictures of 2 side by side and you should be able to tell just looking thru the hole.

10 mm bolt holding the sensor in. Just don't lose any shims that might be between the sensor and block.

All L33 engines are 24x through 2006...if you want to double check look at the crank sensor, black is 24x and gray is 58x

To my knowledge gen3 was 24, and 06 should be gen3. So you can trust that advice or look through the sensor hole like stated above.

You need to go back to English/spelling classes.
If you'd been paying attention, you'd know that the plural for "toof" is "teefus".

Carry on.
