Got the long block partially assembled today, everything minus PR's and rockers. Went ahead and installed the lifters and sprayed a generous amount of oil onto each one after installation, as the oil will have plenty of time to soak in. Any suggestions as to which brand of push rod length checker to purchase, or are they all about the same?

 

We like to use the Comp Checker but to be honest any of them would probably work

 

I have heard that the Comp Checker is the best one, but wanted a second opinion. Thanks!
