What Cam to use
01 camaro, A4, currently with stock converter. Going to be using ported 243's, stock LS6 intake. I have a 03 LS6 cam I could use but the question I have is how much power is going to be left on the table if I do that. What cams would the community suggest. Thanks in advance for everyones time.

you be leaving a good amount of power left on the table with the ls6 cam and those heads. At least look into a 224 or 228 cam at the minimum and at least a 3200 stall. The stall is a must before a cam.

I would go with at least a LPE gt2-3(207/220, .571"/.578" lift, 118.5lsa). Even then I'd rather see you go with something like a 212/218 or a 214/220 to make your time and money result in more noticeable gains.

I also would like to know what would be the best cam for me to put in my car. I have a 2000 SS with Pacesetter Longtube headers, Magnaflow Exhaust and a K&N Cold air intake...Also should the cam be the next upgrade for me? Looking for best gains!

Your making a good choice. I think the stall alone will put a huge smile on your face when you put the pedal to the metal. I'd look into a 3600+ stall, most people go to small and regret it.

ive never owned a car with a 4000 but have driven one once and its not too bad but i have a 3600 in mine and it drives like stock for the most part and a converter with headers got me running mid 12's and lost no fuel mileage off of it if your even concerned with that lol

I'm running a LPE GT2-3 cam right now in my 98 Camaro Z28 and it makes some pretty good power. All I just have is 243 heads with Lunati .660 valve springs, LS6 intake manifold, and a Circle-D 3200 stall converter. Pretty much a cam only car and my best time is a 12.4 @ 110 mph. I'm somewhere around 370-380 rwhp. From what I have been told by Lingenfelter, the GT2-3 cam loves boost but also works great N/A, and it's a great sleeper cam too. It idles like stock and no one knows that you have a cam in your car until you really get on the gas above 2500 rpm.
