Default Internal engine problem?

This is just about my last ditch effort before I resort to a shop for diagnosis. BTW I could use a recommendation for one in the Phoenix West Valley.

Anyway I have this thread here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...ud-squeak.html

and it seems that it is internal. Any input on what it is or recommendation on shops appreciated.

tks in advance

Very odd.... Seems to be a bearing type noise that you would normally hear from the accessories - but since you have those unhooked:

Front or back of the motor? (im thinking maybe flexplate/flywheel, timing setup, oil pump, something along those lines that rotates)

Any metal flakes in the oil? (crank rotates)

Just to verify are your radiator fans on? Could it be a bearing in them?

Depending on how mechanically inclined you could sure track down the issue... But if end result will be a shop for repair anyway - I might head in that direction...
