Default Is the lifters bad too?

Ok as some of you may know my car dropped a valve a few months back and the valve got stuck sideways in the head. So now I'm almost ready to get the car back together the end of the rocker arm that is touching the push rod got beat up and cracked up and also bent the push rod, i was thinking if it may have damaged the lifter too from the hard hitting from the pushrod? Do you think i should replace the 2 ls7 lifters on that cylinder? the ls7 lifters had about 3500 miles on them if that matters thanks.

He is saying yes you should replace the lifters, I would at least take them out for inspection so you don't do more damage in the long run

Yeah, check the lifters. You don't want to chance spinning or shattering one after the heads are back on. That's how cam's get eaten up and you'll just be tearing down the engine again.

For how cheap LS7 lifters are. Yes, yes you should replace them. I'd rather spend the money knowing my heads don't have to come off again.

I would replace them all and the trays while the heads are off.

Yeah, trays are cheap. Good insurance the lifters will be set in there.
