I should have posted this in the drivetrain section but figured it wouldnt get a enough views hence replies. So lets talk about this new tranny coming out. Couple base questions and feel free to talk, and add any information known about this yet. Has anyone gotten the code name for the tranny? Will it shine in the aftermarket, while being swappable interchangeable with camaros, gto’s, and whatever the T56 can fit?

Got to be nice for those who simply run out of gear with their 6-speeds.

Not going to happen. Just like all the other C5/C6 6 speeds, its not a directly behind the engine type of transmission. It's in the back. You will not get this in an F-Body/GTO etc without extensive modifications
