Were the sleeves put in place to repair a bore? Did you go big bore? What did you do to this block to make it hard to walk away from?

You should not comment on things that you have no idea about. An ERL or Darton sleeved block can support a 4.125" stroke and 4.185" - 4.200" bore allowing stock on the outside but 427ci - 457ci and up on the inside. A darton sleeve requires a 4th gen block core suitable for machining so just the finished bare block alone is upwards of 3k with the cheapest being a used 4th gen 5.3 block and then about 2k to buy and install the sleeves

1400 for the machine work and i dont know if i can re use the sleeves because they are made to mach the block, i cant see it being an issue but we are talking lots of ******* around, i also have heat treated forged mains that are milled to fit this block. No need for any one to get testy but instead of insisting i move on maybe just ask what is up. the engine is a 4.125 bore 4 stroke 427 and goes like stink!

This reminds me of a video 4thgen T/a that had the ls7 in it and went to do a burnout but the clutch decided to shatter through the floor..and through the dash/windshield and partially stuck in a brick a few feet above.Tore a mount or two off the block and had it repaired/welded.Motor and trans went into another car and ran fine as far as I recall. Was a classic video on youtube lol.

that video is the reason i bought the quick time bell! and also the follow up video is why i am going to attempt the repair, i have a tig welder in my corner with 20+ years of dealing with aluminum so i think it will play.

I was just about to post the video up..but yup thats the car.Heck..I wouldnt blame the guy fro wanting to salvage that ls7 either..seemed to workout nicely. If you think you can repair it and be strong enough to handle the abuse then go for it.If not..your in for another block to build.
