Custom grind cam or no cam at all. You have an excellent short block with an excellent set of heads, and you're going to stuff an old as dirt shelf cam in it?.
Do yourself a favor and call Geoff@eps, patg, Martin@tick...whoever, and get a custom cam.

My 408 with TFS 225s and a turbo 350 in a 3500 pound car ran 10.7s on motor and 9.80s with a 150 shot through a nitrous outlet plate. So I'd say that combo will reach your goals, and then some.

I ended up going with 12.5:1 static compression on my 408 with a 255/271 .624/.624 115 lsa cam which gave me a very pump gas friendly 8.22:1 dcr. Did have a 4l60e behind it with a 4, 000 stall and it sounded great and pulled hard as hell all the way to my 8, 000 rpm fuel cutoff.
If that helps.

I jave my fuel cut set to 8, 000 rpms right now...if I ever get the car on a dyno I might raise the the fuel cut to 8, 500 or even 9, 000 rpms if it is still making power.
Its not the engine size, but it's the parts you use inside it that determines the max rpms

I've run the times posted above with a 3.73, and a 4.10 gear. If you are going to be spraying a lot, the 3.73 is the better gear. Not sure of the rpm on the 150 shot, but I upped the shot to 250 for a while. It was running 9.60s @ 140. I believe it was turning about 7000 rpm through the trap's.

Moser 12 bolt. Like stated earlier, 3.73, and 4.10s. It had the Detroit Locker True Trac when I put it in, and I switched over to a spool later on. If your car is going to be track only, I suggest going with a spool from the get. They are cheaper, and lighter.
