Default anyone use/seen these dart cnc heads on ebay

I know the dart head got a very fast execution on here a few years ago and I haven't been able to find much info on them other than the GM HighTech dyno comparison article. I was looking on ebay last night and came across these. Dart pro 1 cnc 225 cc "BLEM" for like $800!

What are your thoughts and comments. The listing says that they had either cosmetic or machining flaws that have now been corrected.

That alone would be enough for me not to even be remotely interested

This auction is for one pair (2) of brand new Dart Blem cylinder heads that had a very minor cosmetic or machining imperfection. The heads are now functionally perfect and are ready to assemble without any functional defects.

I have the Dart/RHS heads, but they are the Advanced Induction ones that they CNC port. I can only vouch for the ones I have, but they are great heads. They are an aftermarket casting, but it's all in the CNC work.

Those are not heads with any cnc porting. They are 225cc and as cast. If you are going for a stroker they would be great heads with a hand port. They also sell a 205cc version for stock ci and would also do well with a hand port.

Yeah as turbopig said, these don't look like they have any CNC done to them. And are bare, so you still need valves and all that stuff.

If they check out, they might be good for a mild engine or for their potential in the hands of a good porter.

By the time you get those cnc ported and completly assembled, you could have just ordered a complete, assembled set from a board sponcer for about the same amount of money.

I actually have a set of the 205cc version on my shelf from that seller and it came out pretty cheap I used Dart Valves and milled to 59cc with the Lunati .660 springs and I spent about 1250 for all of it. The Dart flow numbers as cast are pretty comparable to a ported 243 head so they are a decent buy for a 346 or with the 225 you could support a budget stroker. I have spoke with West Coast Cylinder Heads and they said a light port is likely all they need to be great for a .600 lift cam. The 205cc I believe flows 298 217 at .600. Brand new and assembled non blem from ws6store I believe they are 1600.

I agree. I know people talked massive **** on the Dart (now RHS) castings, but I've heard many head porters say they are a great base for either CNC porting or hand porting. Advanced Induction has a program for the Dart/RHS heads as well. I bought mine directly through them, but if you already have Dart/RHS castings, you can send them in for their 100% full CNC port job. Mine looked like a work of art and perform great too.

That is good news to hear......sounds like there is potential there. What type of power are you making Phoenix?
