if your going spray later on the aluminum might be better incase you have a nos backfire. if you have a ls6 or other composite intake the backfire could crack it. i was reading on heat soak and its said that the air moves too fast for the heat to affect the intake air temp.

I bought the Pro Comp version of the Typhoon. I thought I was getting a deal until I realized I had to by an after market fuel rail set up.

I have a 1999 Camaro Z28 LS1, I had BBK Long Tube Headers, cat delete, borla cat back, slp lid, 85mm throttle body, 85mm procomp intake, stock 853 heads, and the GM ASA cam. It dyno'd 341hp 332ft lbs.

5 months later I have installed a ls6 intake, PRC stage 1 heads milled .030, and had it re dyno'd. 432hp and 393ft lbs.

Same dyno, same tuner. The first thing he said when I showed up the first time was, Get rid of that intake!!

Just my experience on this style intake.

Just giving my experience. I looked here before I bought mine and said the same thing you just told me. I even measured the port differences and said how can smaller ports produce more hp, but it did. Big Time!!

With the old set-up it I ran a best time of 12.7 at 113hp. This is with street tires and a m6 with 3.42 gears. 2.2 60ft

I am trying to get to the track Oct 6th with the new set-up
