Default Stock rockers

My engine rebuild will be on next week .I'm going for ms4 only and 125 wet shot ,I was wondering if I need rockers upgrade ( COMP Cams GM LS Series Retrofit Trunnion Kits) or leave it with stock rockers with out any upgraded .

its advised that you do the upgrade. its an easy and cheap way to assure you dont lose any needle bearings and ruin the engine. it would be cheap piece of mind.

I personally like and use the Comp Trunions every week. They are very nice inexpensive upgrade. I know summit makes some (as mentioned by bozzhawg). I have bought several summit branded items over the years and my overall opinion is "ahh ok". I prefer to buy the brand names plus im a big comp fan.

Don't ever trust a summit product, comp cams has been around since drag racning began...

Whatever you say man, I know they don't make their own products...but I have had nothing but issues with anything summit brand other than their AN fittings...and I sure wouldn't buy summit brand because it has a bigger retainer clip that's for sure...I haven't seen them side by side so maybe you're correct but due to past experience I'll take a Comp product over summit any day no matter the price difference

i have used a lot of house brand items and they never seem to last as long as the major brand items. not to say that the summit trunnion isnt as reliable as the comp cam trunnion. i can be a cheap sob, so ive used my fair share of house brand stuff. if it comes down to an important item like the rockers. i would lean more towards the major brand stuff. but thats just me. 2 parts may look identical but the metal composition may be different. who knows? or they can be exactly the same.

Did you read that link?
Anything over .600 lifts should get a trunnion kit. 01/02 are a bit better, but previous to those years is a definite must.
