Why would he step back in? He asked a question and can he cut the three damaged threads off and still use the bolt not would you pull the crank out and start over or do you have a damaged thread on your motor geeez. The answer is obviously we don't know. Call Grainger or Fastenal find out tensile strength see what they think, or you could try arp although I'm sure they will say no to avoid the fall out if something did happen and they want to sell you. Personally if your still getting around 75% of the total threads you had before and it torques to 235ft/lbs I would run it. Bolt just presses the pulley on and holds it just check it when you stop the first few times mark it see it it moved my opinion. And I don't want to come inspect your work lolhlol you never know the person your talking down to might be smarter than you obviously you were smart to enough to know to ask for help. Good luck.
