Default 408lsx help!

I have a lq4 bored and strokes to a 408. I'm using wiseco pistons and eagle rods and Callie crank. The rings are gapped for boost but am not sure the exact gap . The problem is I'm buring a ton of oil I am running vr1 20-50w oil . I have driven it about 60 miles it has a lot of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust at idle and under heavy throttle in the beginning but clears up. Any help would be appreciated

Did you use break in oil , isn't the vr 20/50 synthetic oil , you should use regular oil to break in the rings then after 1000 miles change the oil and filter

Sounds like seals are not seated. Also you should use thread sealer on the rocker bolts. The hole is not blind you can see it over the intake valve. Hows your pcv system?

Could be lots of things...valve guides shot; improper hone finish for the rings
used; way too wide of gaps; rings upside down;....generally speaking low
tension piston rings control oil better that is thinner like 5W30
