I've got the Harland Sharp rr's on mine and didn't have to shim. You still need to check
your preload though because every car is different.

My Yella Terra's have been performing flawlessly for about a year now. Install is same as for the stockers.

I have the Harlands Instock. The mounting is the same as stock 22ft lbs You should just check the preload quick just to be certian it is correct because as said every car and setup is different.

I put in the Pro Mag 1.85s. They aren't cheap, but they are good quality. You will have to buy some hardened pushrods (which costs an extra $100) because the Pro Mags use guide plates and the stock pushrods don't get along with those guide plates. If you put in R lifters you use ZERO lash as your preload whereas with the stock lifters you go about 1/2 turn extra.

Scott,

The HS rockers only need shims if your heads are milled, or you go with the 1.8 ratio rockers. The stock 1.7s on stock heads usually do not need shims (enter disclaimer here). The install procedure on ls1howto.com should work for your setup. Or you can use the one I created after having issues installing my 1.8 HS rockers. (see attached file)

If you are going to be going with a diffent valve spring with more valve seat psi. i would upgrade to a shaft mounted rocker. LS1s when you in crease the valve seat psi like to blow off rockers . So if your are going to go with more valve seat psi i would spend the money now and go with a set of Jessal saft mounted rockers. F T&D THEY SUCK Do not go with T&D rockers.
