Howdy,
Currently building a forged LQ4, and looking to take an OEM crankshaft to the 1000whp mark.
Is there any differences at all in strength between the LS1/6 and LQ4/9 crankshafts? I know the early LQ4 was longer and some of the LS car cranks were drilled, but barring that, are they all the same in terms of strength?

Yes the difference is the fly-weights are different weight for each different piston/rod/rings/bearings/pin weight .
As far as strength is concerned , RPM's are the main killers of stock bottom ends but 6500rpm's @ 700-800 hp safely . This info is from this forum since 2009. There are many guys that take Their engines to higher RPM's and Their engines last 4 many years as long as You're tune and balance are both spot on You can get away with 7000-7300 RPM's
