I have an 02-04 ls6 cam on the way for my 4.8 Silverado. Are the 317 heads a good match for the motor and cam? I know they lower the compression but I didn't know if the combination of the heads and cam would make up the difference for the compression lost. Or will the stock heads be the best fit

I'd keep the stock heads...those 317s even though it has bigger ports and valves will lower compression down to approx 9:1...that cam will want compression...I believe the z06 was 10.7:1
