Default Stock Trunion Upgraded Rockers

Ok guys, I got the cam installed in iron 402 and measured for pushrod length but it seems that either I didn't measure correctly or....? The tip of the rocker sits to the edge of the valve tip. I don't know exactly how they're supposed to fit on a stock application but I assume the fit more centered. I'll post a picture of how it sits with the pushrod length I measured and maybe you guys can give me some input on weather it will be stable to 7400+rpm or how I can correct it.

Thanks in advance!

Pushrod length is only to get the proper lifter preload and doesn't change the way a stock rocker contacts the valve. The stock rockers are designed to rock across the valve tip like a rocking chair.

Yep. It slides across. Which is why if you have really high lift, you get scrubbing of the tip.

So where it sits is ok? I guess my question really is, will it be ok at 7400 rpms?

You should install a set of check springs and then depress the rocker through the full lift. Can't do this rotating the motor with the valve springs in place as the lifter plungers will depress and you won't get full lift. Once you see where the rocker moves, adjustment is made with the rocker height setting on the head. As stated earlier, pushrod length doesn't not affect the rocker geometry.
