A few have added water/meth spray just to increase their cooling capabilities but most havent and havent had any issues thus far.

As far as the heads, I am too much of a noob to offer any advice.

Brian tooley made me a nice offer!
He recommends a cam with the following specs.
231/240 .598"/.588" 112+3 HUC/Ext RPM
what do you guys think?

If Tooley recommends it, I'd listen.

My friend just had Tooley recommend an almost identical cam to use with a set of TFS as cast 220's, w/ powdered metal guides and turned down LS3 valves. Great setup!

Yup. If Tooley recommends it, it's gold.

Dear friends.

I gathered all the parts from tooley. Great guy!
-220 as cast (59cc)
-fast102 intake manifold
- 231/240cam
etc etc

Now the problem. My engine builder rejected my ls6 engine. The engine suffered from overheating and bad quality control from gm and who knows what. There were chips from the pistons missing and from the right bank the hone grooves are gone. The crate engine was also bored out of the center so there is no more space to rehone it :-(

What would be a good plan now. Can i use the stuff i bought on a new ls2 stroker shortblock? or a better plan?

thanks

I talked to Steve at RED about resleeving my LS6 when I was researching for my current build, and from what he said, it's pricey to sleeve the LS1/6 due to the MID Sleeves. I believe he quoted me off the cuff near or possibly over 2k for the resleeving only.

I'd say, your best move is a new block. Your top end setup will be legit on any LS1/2/6 you out it on!

resleeving is really expensive here in europe. So probably is going to be a new shortblock.

do these heads also fit an ls3 shortblock? and what about the oil/waterpump?
