Default 6.0l 408 stroker

I'm listing to see if anyone has ever seen this. I have a roots blown 408 stoker. I've had some issues with the dyno and recently they had the blower belt to tight and took out the #1 main bearing. During disassembly found the # 2 main cap to be broke in two pieces and very heat stressed. Any thoughts?

Seen that on blower cars several times, but not to the point it breaks the main cap. That's impressive.

What do the bearings look like?

Junk. Haha The bearings are gone. They look like a thrust bearing as the metal rolled up along the crank journal.

Seen plenty of bearings taken out but this is the first time I have ever seen a main cap snapped in half like that.

Block was line honed with the studs. Oil pressure was about 35 psi idle and around 65 psi under load. Bearings look like the one that is still in the rod in the picture. In all reality I thought they looked fairly good for the damage. On the dyno they tightened the blower belt way to tight. On that pull we noticed sparks by the crank hub. They noticed some wear marks on the hub with the timing marks. They re marked the timing line made another pull and aborted because of sparks and then made a decision to see what's going on. Do you think the blower belt took out #1 main bearing and then on the second pull it snapped the #2 main cap??

I just noticed that also. I will take a look I think it may have bust the tang off the block? I'll get pictures of the bearing also.

I would be surprised if just tightening the blower belt could do all that damage.

I would suspect some serious detination

So possibly from when they had to much timing from the get go and melted the head gasket and head?
