Default What's My LS1 Worth?

I have a HKE 408 build in progress and would like to know everyone's thoughts on what a reasonable price is to ask for my current motor, bone stock LS1 out of a 98 TA with 95k on the clock? Long Block would come with intake, fuel rails, injectors, throttle body, and Hooker 1/3 long tube headers. I've had the car since it had 4k miles on it and it has been maintained as it should. I drive the car to work everyday, motor doesn't use oil and still runs strong.

1k to 1500 depending on the market and area you're in. Its xmas time so it's NOT a seller's market unfortunately. You'd get more holding it till tax time IMO.

sounds about correct. id say take a couple vids to prove that is runs well and dosent burn oil. and a vid of the odometer to prove mileage. the more info and proof the more assurance the buyer has and you can get closer to ur asking price

Thanks for the input guys, I hadn't thought about Christmas coming up soon affecting the price. The video idea is a good one as well.

I think $1200 sounds would be a fair price for what you are including with it. I bought a stock longblock for 1000 a couple of years ago with about the same mileage and stuff you also mentioned.

Yea if pay $1000-$1500...cleaning the motor up real nice will net the higher side of the price range for sure, just like taking video of it running. It makes the buyer feel better about spending more $$$, and that's stuff just takes time.

I sold my 99 LS1 with 100k with a cam and springs on it for $900, and bought my LS6 with 40k for $1,000
