Thumbs up Yes, Another TSP 231/237 Thread...

First Impressions:

Installed it last night, and she fired right up. The idle is a little rough (with surging), but I e-mailed NoGo my edit file and hopefully he takes care of that. I love the lopey sound. Much better then the TR 224/224 114LSA cam I took out.

Now for the surising part!! My valve train is MUCH quieter!! I mean much!! Used to have he classic sewing machine sound to it, which I guess is a result of the type of lobe the 224 had. The valves/springs are very quiet with the TSP cam. It suprised me since the lift is so much more with the TSP cam.

Driving impressions: The cam pulls hard up top. I'm sure it lost a little down low. However, just cruising down the highway at 70mph it's smooth as silk! Needless to say, I'm very pleased with this cam.

Last summer the TR 224 Dyno'd 374hp and 368tq. That was through long tubes, but stock muffler and pipes. I'm Dynoing again on the 15th of this month, and the exhaust has changed quite a bit. I'd sure like to see 400+ at the wheels.

Hey, Mr. I'm not gonna get on it hard till I get a little tuning done. I heard that wot run when you got on the interstate. I don't want to hear anything about my car being loud.

Congrats on the new lobes.

The valvetrain quieted down due to the mild lobe profiles of the TSP 231/237. They're easier on the valvetrain than XE or XE-R grinds.
