Default PS Cooler

Do It Do It Do It!!! Not If but when it does begin to leak, the power steering fluid it will deteriate the coolant hoses. Also it is almost impossible to remove all of the PS fluid from your coolant system. The hoses that supply the heater core are a pain in the butt to replace. Its funny my 99 Z had the inline cooler and my 01 SS didn't have it. I just removed mine and installed an aftermarket external cooler on mine and it worked great,

Good luck.

No issues in deleting...I think the factory inline PS cooler tube is more of a powersteering heater than 'cooler'....

If you are worried about PS temp an underdrive pulley could help lower it and as an enthusiast you are likely to change the fluid a LOT more often than GM intended

Smart man here, because they will fail and cause one heck of a mess in your cooling system!!!! I have first hand experience.

Deleted mine this time last year. I also added an aftermarket frame cooler. Good thing, it had just started leaking. Talk about a close call.
