It broke a rod, now to pull the engine and see if a rod and piston can fix it.

I knew it wasn't a bearing.....
Just like you "knew" it wasn't rod noise. Oh, and how you knew it was cam related. And let's not forget how you knew it was valve train noise. Correct??? Nice job. You helped out a lot.

Geez I tell ya its not rod bearing noise and i'm right.........hmmm

Sorry next time i'll join you guys in the ITS ROD BEARING NOISE standard BS.

It broke a rod not a rocker, that why it didn't run properly.

If it was a "ROD BEARING" It would have run fine and just knocked....

You guys are so smart.................

I have an 01 Camaro Z28 that sat up for 3 yrs fixed her all up and drove several miles to make sure everything was ok...no knocks no abnormal noises or anything. Parked it and came out the next day to show her more love and this same exact noise occurred on start up. I was cringing the whole time and it ran like complete crap...just like in the video.

Here is what fixed it...gave it a few revs and it went away and the car instantly ran smooth once the tap stopped. To this day after 600 miles it hasnt tapped or ran erratically. I chalked it up to a lifter that wouldnt pump up or was stuck since the car sat for so long.

Yep, had to replace the fuel pump so the bad gas was dealt with. Changed the fuel filter as well.

Did you clean out the old gas in the main fuel line, that's some of the most potent stuff I've ever smelled lol

Yea I had my wife key on and key off the ignition while I held the shrader valve open with a allen wrench until I got clean fuel. That fuel was terrible I thought for sure Id have an injector or two go bad, but the car runs perfect and pulls hard just like before.
