I dont see any problems but i just wanna double check before i order them.


They are going on a stock bore 2001 5.3 turbo motor with stock 862 heads.

Those are for a 4" bore man. I'm sure cometic sells the smaller bore gaskets, but why not a stock gm mls head gasket with .051" thickness? Are you looking for a compression bump?

 

Yes looking for a compression bump. I figure if people are using 4.060 on 5.3's these would be ok. Gasket size also depends on the head combustion chamber. I measured mine and they look to be just under 4"

 

Those would technically work, but I would recommend them in the smaller 3.910 bore configuration to match your setup a little closer. Pricing shouldn't be any different.

 

These are even thinner and have a 3.79 bore.

Does cometic offer a gasket as thick as the ls9's but with 5.3 bore size?

 

Damn i wish i would have seen these sooner. I ordered the others already. Man these was even cheaper too! Thanks for sharing i was just to late. Oh well the others will work.
