ATAP/LS1-edit whats the advantages?

ATAP/LS1-edit whats the advantages? I'm in the process of a 224/224 .581 112 cam only install.The shop doing the work was running a little behind schedule, so they offered me a full dyno tune using ATAP for $200. Or my other option is a different shop using full LS1-edit with their dyno tune for $500.
Both shops are very well known sponsors/vendors here on the forum.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES/DISADVANTAGES OF BOTH??????

I'm just guessing it was ATAP "only" since that is what I saw on his lap-top when he dyno tuned my friends car.
Other than LS1-edit what else is used for tuning?
