Default Texas-speed 408 stroker

Does anyone know what is the bore and stroke of this motor and the resleeving process they use? What type of pistons, rods, and crank they use? I am in the market for a stroker motor in the future and am beginning my research now. I probibly will have superior automotive in anaheim do the engine build, but I am weighing my options as there are many. I think I will just go with a 383 and not resleeve the block and use a 4.00 lunati crank or maybe even their 4.125 stroke crank for a 395 stroker? Superior does not believe in resleeving the block for structural reasons and budget reasons they are getting 550+ fwhp with a mild cam and only 383 ci and saving 2000 dollars by not resleeving.

The 408 on their site is a iron truck block. Lots are making good power with 382's. It all depends on how your budget stands. I don't think the extra weight of the iron block is worth the CI. The power can be made up elsewhere.

I agree with you I don't want to add 100 pounds to the front of my car when I have spent hundreds of dollars to lighten it with suspension work and such. I think handling is just as important as power and I would never want to throw a pos iron block in my high performance car.
