Place the crankshaft into your block, find TDC #1 or #6 by measuring #3 & #5 rod throw depth from the deck as being equal.
Mark crankshaft throw by scribing a centered hole through the Crankshaft Sensor mount hole.
Remove crankshaft, install the TW with the 13 tooth in the center of the scribed mark AFTER the "missing tooth" passes the sensor location in the correct rotation direction.

Triggering is HALL off with tooth close at the beginning though this is know as "falling edge" trigger thus the position report.
The GM ECU knows this and converts it to 1.5 degrees off, almost the same standard as my 60-2 (58x) position.
"OLD DOG" I think not.
YOUNG LAD should be a better name stated by your knowledge of GM LS-x firing order.
18726543 is most common stating 1 & 6 TDC, 7 & 4 BDC with 2,3,5,8 at 90 degrees.
Thus when the rod throw is moving FAST it is a GOOD time to measure.
