THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM W/THE MOTOR???????
I went to check up on my car today thats been sitting in my garage for about 2 weeks now, haven't started it up...
I was recently trying to trouble shoot where my oil leak was coming from....I had it up on the lift and saw that oil was coming off the oil filter and around the gasket area, so I replaced the oil filter thinking that would take care of the major leak.....the other oil problem I saw underneath the car was a stream of oil coming down the drivers side area and ending right above the drivers side off road pipe, can't see though where the oil comes from/starts, etc...
So today I go to check on the fluids level, oil has dropped a little (leak), Then I decide to pop open the radiator cap...I looked in there and couldn't see anything w/my eyes, so I put a flashlight in there and it was a little over 1/2 full.....hmmmmmmmm where the hell is my coolant going.....
Any ideas as to what the hell is wrong, I really can't enjoy driving the car because the oil drops burn onto the ORP and smoke comes out from under the car, and the breather valves are smokestacks and that smoke usually makes it inside the cabin, my interior smells like a cigar...

this is not good
i think ur gonna need that motor quicker than u thought
Was the coolant full when u got it back?
that could be the coolant used from when it blew the headgasket the first time. Otherwise the head gasket is blown/not seeling or Worse case when it blew the first time it took out a cylinder wall.
BTW Call my celly some time

Mysterious oil leaks suck!
You may have to start tearing it down a little to see where the oil is coming from, and go from there...

Re: THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM W/THE MOTOR???????
Coolant was a little under full when I got it back..
I am also thinking the motor is going to come sooner than I thought...
Could there be a crack in the block somewhere??
There is no smoke that comes out of the exhaust, just the normal moisture smoke that eventually goes away after driving, no blue smoke, etc...

When I had a blower on my car, I suddenly had a couple new oil leaks. Oil leaks drive me insane. I sold the blower shortly after and the oil leaks went away. Might be crank case pressure from the blower.

Try this.. crack open the oil drain plug and see what comes out. I had a blown head gasket before, when I opened my drain plug I could see coolant coming out from the oil pan. The coolant will come out first because the oil will float on top etc. You'll know right away if you have coolant in the bottom end.

blown headgasket(s)
exhaust escaping into the coolant system and pushing your coolant into your overflow, that is where you will find your coolant.
the oil is either blowby causeing crankcase pressure pushing oil out from under your valvecovers. you are probably also popping the dipstick up. if not blowby then this is also caused by the blown hg.
final answer.

I seem to have the same problem, except I have N20 and not a blower. It's gotten so bad that after 2 N20 runs half of my coolant is gone. But the oil is mint.

Re: THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM W/THE MOTOR???????
The oil looks great, oil on the dipstick looks normal, no signs of coolant in the bottom end, the dipstick hasn't popped up yet, I'm running 2 breather valves....
I'm also only seeing 4psi.....and I have brand new cometic head gaskets on the car, could it be an airpocket somewhere in the coolant??

Re: THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM W/THE MOTOR???????
Not to scare you but on my LT1 2 years ago I blew a head gasket, there was ABSOLUTELY NO WHITE SMOKE nor coolant smell and I was losing a full radiator full for every 20 miles I drove. The stuff was just totally burning up in the cylinders. Oddest thing I've ever seen with the amount of coolant I was losing. It was summer time and I'd literally bring gallons of water with me for the week I continued driving the car. It still ran fine, didnt stumble, even raced a LS1 WS6 and kept up with it.

Damn...thats no good...
I'm gonna have the car in the shop around the 1st of April most likely....getting V8 springs put in, and probably getting a right rear airbag..
Then the next time the car goes in it will most likely be for the motor...but we will see....

When you blew that head gasket on the dyno, could you have maybe warped your block? Not sure if that can even occur but since its aluminum I'd think its possible.

Re: THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM W/THE MOTOR???????
I wonder if anyone has had a problem w/that..
I was suprised when my car blew a head gasket, that shouldn't of happened with 10.5:1 compression and 6psi...
The main parts I want to keep around for the motor build up is the block and crank...

The blower is pressurizing your crank case and is maybe blowing out your rear main seal. I would run a hose to a catch can with a breater on the catch can.
Top up the coolant and see what happens.

Have you tried pulling your plugs?
Pull a couple of them and check. If your are burning coolant, you should see a white residue on your plugs.
