Default Help advice lifter bore damage

I bought some com cam lifters from a member here, when I installed them. I force one lifter tray. And didn't want to go in. So I put a scratch from top to bottom. I don't know if that block it's useless now.

How bad is the scratch? Why was it getting caught and scratching up the bore? Did you thoroughly clean the lifters prior to install?

Yea clean them, put some assembly lube. And even clean them again after all this happend. And try to fit it in another bore and it wouldn't go in. I tried another lifter and no problem. The scratch it's probably bigger than a hair line. But it's from top to bottom, I mess up by forging the hole tray

Yea I was thinking since the bore it's a guide for the lifter it should be fine. Last nite I found that the edges are sharp. I cleaned one lifter and now it's going in well, so I will do the rest

I thought you were asking about the bore, I wouldn't use the lifters if they are damaged.

Yea it's the lifter bore, not the piston bore. I cleaned the edges on one of them were the bearing it's. And it's going ok
