LQ9 build in Avalanche
My 5.3 lost compression in my 04 Avalanche, so I am replacing it with a LQ9 6.0. I want to beef it up before I install it. I was looking at the Lingenfelter
GT2-3 cam and valve spring kit. Any thoughts on this kit, and what else I can do to add more power without killing relaibility? This will be a daily driver, but I have a work truck so it won't be racking up the miles. Any recommendations on exhaust? Anything helps, thank you!
Hopefully... future badace Avalanche!

The 6.0 with a cam swap and a set of headers is easily good for 450+HP which is a big upgrade over a stock 5.3 and this is reliable power.
Your transmission will be the weak link, they are notorious for going out with this swap. If you are going used, get the trans/controller that came out of the truck as well. Get with a good tuner here on the forums...it will make all the difference.
